Hi, I’m Christine.

I’m a therapist, and at various times in my life, I have also been a therapy client. Because of my own personal growth journey, I know how helpful counseling can be (and I believe the best therapists are those who do their own growth work).

I started my career working in the business side of social services, and over time, discovered what brought me the most joy in my work was supporting others directly and helping them succeed.

I also found the self-awareness I gained in therapy was a vital key to self-acceptance and achieving some of the things I’m most proud of.

These experiences inspired me to change course in my career and go back to school to become a therapist—which is a decision I’m grateful for every day!

My Approach

My approach to counseling is warm, relational and collaborative and grounded in using up-to-date, scientifically-proven therapies that draw on research from neuroscience and how we store experiences in the brain and body.

I specialize in using EMDR and relational therapies to facilitate deep healing and growth. I also incorporate other approaches to help you learn practical skills and address specific needs.

The main therapeutic modalities I use include EMDR therapy, relational therapy, DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and therapeutic methods informed by brain science (including ADHD strategies, anxiety skills, attachment theory and somatic techniques).

The good news is these therapies give us many resources to draw from in our work and we’ll explore together which ones fit best for you.

As an ally and guide on your journey, I’m here to support you wherever you are in the process of healing and personal growth.

Depending on your needs, this might include working together to:

  • Increase your self-awareness.

  • Build new skills.

  • Heal from painful experiences.

  • Tap into your inner wisdom and strengths.

  • Deepen your relationship with others and your authentic self.

  • Increase your confidence and satisfaction in your personal or professional life.

I also bring unique experiences and skills to my work as a counselor.

As a second-career therapist, I've experienced firsthand the pressures and challenges of the business world—and also the powerful connection between professional growth and personal satisfaction!

Drawing on business skills from this background and my therapy training on how the brain works, I’ve helped people explore career options, identify professional strengths, and navigate difficult work situations.

Professional Background and Experience

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and have a broad range of experience working in inpatient, intensive outpatient, and outpatient treatment settings as well as social service agencies.

I also enjoy providing consultation and training to therapists in the community and am a Senior EMDR Facilitator for EMDR Basic Trainings in Texas.

Since good therapy requires a high degree of skill and expertise, I regularly seek training in a variety of modalities, including ongoing advanced training and consultation in EMDR and relational therapies.
